Sharon Pyper, First Grade Teacher
Originally from Michigan, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University with a Major in Family Relations and Minors in Child Development and Psychology. After a few years I decided to get my Masters in Education and was fortunate enough to get a Graduate Assistant position at Kent State University in Ohio. As I earned my Masters in Early Childhood Education, I worked at The Child Development Center on the KSU campus—an opportunity I am still so thankful for! A number of jobs in the preschool field, ten years at home with four boys, and a move to North Carolina brought my husband and I to Leesville! I have been at Leesville since 2004 and I am so excited to be back for another year in first grade!!

Gail Penwell, Instructional Assistant
I have been married to my husband for 24 years. We have one daughter who is a high school teacher with WCPSS. I am originally from New Jersey but moved to North Carolina in 1994. I have been an Instructional Assistant for 14 years. I love working with children. I was a girl scout leader for 8 years. In my spare time I can be found walking the Greenway trails, going to the beach, reading or spending time with my family. I am a HUGE ECU Pirates fan!!
